Assisting patrons with projects, technology, and equipment during Makerspace open hours, performing troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on machines including Glowforge laser cutter, Cricut machines, sewing machines, embroidery machine, and IT support for makerspace computers, monitoring day-to-day use for safety and developing policies and instructional guides to facilitate safety best practices for prolonged use for both patrons and the machines, recommending new technologies and software, designed and created branding and publicity for the Hangar. Planning and implementing programs for adults and teens covering interesting general areas of DIY, art, and crafts with a focus on developing practical skills and design thinking; budgeting for supplies, managing material inventory, developing projects to meet learning objectives, teaching the project, filming, recording audio, and editing project videos, making kits and managing kit making volunteers, publicity and marketing through social media, website, and direct communication to patrons. Additional library duties include some website design and coding, general IT support assistance, and since November 2023, graphic design; assisting patrons at Circulation desk, checking in and out materials, processing payments for patron account balances, registering patrons for library cards, light Reader's Advisory, data entry and verification, and customer service; Processing passport application paperwork and payment, providing customer service to applicants regarding passport policies and procedures.
